Fresno is the fifth largest city in California and the largest city in the Central Valley. It's located in the San Joaquin River Valley, midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Fresno is known as the "Raisin Capital of the World" and is the headquarters of Sierra National Forest. The city is home to California State University, Fresno, Fresno Pacific University, and a community college.
